About Kati

Kati’s journey into complementary therapies began in 1999 at the prestigious Raworth International in Surrey.  A treatment with a cranial osteopath as a child created a fascination into what the body can tell us, and what it will respond to.  She trained in reflexology, clinical and holistic aromatherapy, a variety of massage and bodywork, as well as some nutrition and counselling. Wanting to expand her energy and healing work, she went on to become a Reiki Master Practitioner.  Further courses and workshops have continued to shape her practice and fuel her curiosity.

Kati loves what a treatment can do to the mind, body and spirit, in that mentally and physically a calm can be achieved, and the effects can feel profound. The holistic approach to health and well-being makes sense, and the interdependency that each of the systems have upon each other; so when you start to relax and quiet the body, so the mind can still. She is interested in what underlies and exacerbates a  person’s symptoms.

Kati has worked in a range of settings which has strengthened her ability to tailor treatments to their recipient.   These include natural health clinics, hospitals, care homes and corporate environments.  In 2009, Kati received a Macmillan Cancer Support Award.  Whatever the environment, there is always huge gain in taking time for self care. In the corporate world it is widely accepted that productivity increases when their employees are cared for.

After the birth of her first child, Kati qualified as a baby massage and baby yoga instructor.  She joined a baby massage group with her baby and was amazed at the calming effect it had on him – and then her.  Since then, she has spent time with many mums and babies and has helped arm parents with the tools to aid common ailments, like teething, sinus congestion, constipation, as well as enhancing the emotional bonding. She’s been delighted to be told by new parents that, through her classes, she has provided an important support group to nurture them at such a pivotal time in their lives.

More recently, she trained in the Bergman method of facial reflexology, with the founder Ziggie Bergman at the London School of Reflexology at Regents University.  A deeply relaxing and spiritual treatment examining how emotions are held in the face, drew Kati to the practice.  Having had her second child, Kati became all too familiar with the extra lines and dark circles that betrayed her sleepless nights and exhaustion; so having a treatment that relaxed and softened the face was very welcome indeed.

When we take time look after ourselves, we feel better.  We function better. We can be better at our job, a better partner, parent or friend.  Reserves can run low, and we owe it to ourselves and those around us to keep ourselves topped up. Those little moments to re-centre and refocus can create the space from which brighter things can grow.

Longing for rolling hills and a coastline, Kati moved to Devon in 2014 and lives with her husband, aforementioned two children and dog.
