FACIAL
REFLEXOLOGY
I recently came to, and fell in love with, facial reflexology and was fortunate to train in the Bergman method developed by Ziggie Bergman at the London School of Reflexology. Ziggie regularly features in the press, most recently in Tatler, Harpers Bazaar, Telegraph, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Red, Evening Standard, You magazine and Cosmopolitan.
It has all the benefits of foot relexology, but can be an even more powerful tool for headaches, sinus and jaw problems, Bells palsy , as well as aiding sleep and lifting mood. It relaxes you very quickly; most report more so than in foot reflexology. It also brings a healthy glow to the face – thank you improved blood flow, eased facial muscles and stimulated collagen.
We all know only too well how stress affects our immunity and well-being, so it is hugely important that we find methods that allow us to relax deeply.
The skin……
Ahhhhh, the skin. Our largest organ and one that can tell the world how we’re feeling. I’ve battled (yes, I choose that word) with skin issues for most of my life. Tired, hormonal, too much of certain foods/drink, stress, and my skin reports back. Perioral dermatitis has been my particular Achilles heal (and not one that is understood or treated easily). Of course lifestyle factors play a major role in the health of our skin, but there is undoubtedly a huge correlation between stress and inflammation – a vicious cycle when you’re experiencing a flare up. Facial reflexology can help, and we can examine other factors at play.
